Also, consider employing our Car Service in Connecticut for a hassle-free experience at a time when the city is out and about, excited by the onset of the warm part of the year.

Tags and Treasures Sale

Head over to Wethersfield on the 14th and 15th of April for the Tag and Treasure at the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum. This event will present thousands of household items including, furniture, glass wear, historic estate items, vintage pieces, sterling silver, linens, china, books, and fine jewelry. All these items have been donated by the Colonial Dames; the organization in charge of the Museum. Attendees will be able to fill a bag with items for a small fee; admission for adults will be $6 while children will be admitted for only $3.

Exhibition at the Yale Center for British Art

This exhibition will be open from the 3rd of April to the 12th of August, so there is plenty of time to decide on a date for your visit. The exhibition will feature the contemporary works of British artist, Cecilia Paul. This will be the first of three exhibitions organized by Pulitzer Prize-winner and author, Hilton Als. The exhibition will be an intimate look into their friendship and will place more emphasis on Cecilia Paul’s most recent works, which seem to revolve around inwardness and intimacy. The second installment of exhibits will be launched in 2019 and will feature the works of Lynette Yiadom-Boakyeand an artist to be later determined.

Sea Music Festival

The Sea Music Festival attracts over 5,000 people to the Mystic Seaport every year, all of whom eagerly wait for the event all year round just to hear some live maritime music that ranges from contemporary compositions to tunes from the golden age. These will not only be concerts; the event will also feature workshops and special performances from kids. The daytime concerts and museum visits are free and open to the public, but the night time concerts require a separate ticket. This event is scheduled for the 7th to 11th of June. All access-passes for members of the Sea Music Symposium go for $75, non-members will pay $124, and youth non-members will pay $90. However, you can purchase a one-day ticket or a two-day ticket.

 Lobsterfest and Chicken BBQ

Visit Niantic on the 30th of July for a one-weekend fundraiser at the Niantic Lions Club. The club will be offering attendants great art on the one hand and great food on the other. The full dinner will feature two main ingredients; you guessed it, lobster and chicken. However, if you like, you can also try their burgers, fried dough, kettle corn, and clam fritters. If you are an art lover, you will also get to enjoy a vast collection of paintings, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, and other artistic creations.
