Best Christmas Lights Shows in Connecticut 2017

Christmas is one of the most wonderful times of the year; there’s just something magical about this time of the year; something special about how bright it is around this time with all the Light Displays around, it’s calming; it is almost as if there was no trouble in the world. Generation after generation, the people of Connecticut have maintained the habit of setting up light displays around this time of the year and 2017 will not be an exception. Our Connecticut Ground Transportation Service has identified some of the most alluring light displays you can enjoy with family and friends in the Constitution State.

That House in Milford

That House in Milford has a very interesting history. It started as a normal house when the couple that lived in it got married in the December of 2001. That Christmas they set up about 1,500 Christmas Lights on the roof of their new home and year after year they just kept adding onto it those 1,500 and the house became popular for it, eventually being referred to as ‘That House’, it became known and the best decorated house in Milford. The Donnell’s started putting up the lights in October and this year, it is expected that there will be over 30, 000 Christmas lights on their roof. The couple has been using the popularity of their house to raise funds for the Connecticut Food Bank through visitors’ donations, which is a cause we would all want to involve ourselves in this season of giving, right?

Holiday Light Show at the Firehouse

Attend the second annual Holiday Light show at the Newton Firehouse where you will be experience over 40, 000 twinkling Christmas Lights covering the entire firehouse area. The lights are also choreographed to a playlist of over 100 songs and they are sure to put you in a lively mood. The spectacle kicked off on 24th November all the way to 8th of January. This year, the show will incorporate a Winter Village, which is an interactive section of the Firehouse where play games, take face cut-out pictures, donate toys, and so forth.

Holiday Light Fantasia

Enjoy the Holiday Light Fantasia at Goodwin Park in Hartford. Holiday Light Fantasia is a much loved tradition in the Connecticut capital and for good reason. The Holiday Light Fantasia features a 2-mile drive through that transforms the park into a Christmas wonderland that hosts over 1 million lights. You will also get to meet various familiar but inanimate characters in the course of your drive, holiday scenes, and more than 200 individual displays. The animations in the park also celebrate Hanukkah, Three Kings Day, and New Year’s. Admission starts at $12/Car (up to 10 passengers).
